Connection Monitor?

    Hi, I'm embarrassed to say that I've discovered my machine sending out a steady stream of data over my lan connection. (Or at least thats what the connection says).
    I thought I was pretty well versed in removing virus/spyware, but....is there not a tool to just show me what process is currently sending all this data?

    What's your firewall tell you? If you don't have one, put one in. That will tell you what processes are connecting to the internet.

    Not sure I understand. I use Windows firewall, and the firewall in my dsl router, but am not aware that either identify processes sending outgoing traffic.

    Windows firewall does not. That's one of the weaknesses about it. Try turning it off and installing one of the firewalls recommended here under Point 3:
