I am using Real Player 10 (the newest version) to watch video on the net. I am using IE 6.0. After watching the video for about 45 seconds it brings up an error that says "Connection to server has timed out. You may be experiencing network problems." The video stops playing. I'm still connected to the internet and can surf the web with no problem. I just cant watch more than 45 seconds of video at a time.

I have disabled my XP firewall and AVG antivirus.

I have unistalled and reinstalled Real Player 10.

I have went to tools\internet options\connections and have set up everything accordingly.

    Can someone help???

    Kevin -

Has anyone answered your post and if so, how do I find their answers? I'm just using
Real Player for audio - and it not only stops the audio, but freezes my computer, so I
    have to restart! Bobbiel@socal.rr.com

This is driving me nutz too. Real Player help page is NO HELP. I've installed and re-installed several times myself. I used to listen to the BBC non-stop, and now I only get about 45 seconds before it times out. I was getting a better connection with my goddamned 28k modem!! Now I have DSL.

Look what I found on the nascar racing site! Go for it!! :)

If those resources aren't adequate to solve your problem, call RealNetworks at one of the following phone numbers:
    Customer Service Phone Number: 1-888-768-3248.
    Technical Support Phone Number: 1-206-674-2680.

    :p

    Argh!! I called tech support.

Here's what he told me to do:

Under tools, go to preferences and go to Playback settings and uncheck turbo play

Go to Connection and have the minimum/normal be what you have and have the maximum be Office LAN

    Connection: 120 Server: 120

He said: "No problem ma'am, you should have no problem now!"

15 second after we hung up, my connection timed out again. Sigh.
