Constant Restart

    I am running XP Home. The other day,my computer froze up and I was forced to restart by hitting the reset button. Since then, my computer will not get further than trying to load the BIOS. (It beeps, but will not allow me to boot from a disk or enter setup or recovery) I'm not sure where to begin diagnosing this problem.

    Sounds like those are POST codes (the beeps) these are different for every motherboard, so finding that out and then what particular series of beeps stand for, it should tell you what is wrong--- could be anything from a loose cable to a failing piece of hardware.

    Count the beeps and note if they are long or short then post back with the information.
