Cookies Everywhere!

I'm still a green FNG so keep it simple if possible!
How can I tell which cookies to delete?
I looked at C:\WINDOWS\Cookies and found 2,190 cookies, the oldest dated 10/21/01. The window showed a 'Modified' date but no 'Last Accessed' like I've seen on some other stuff. I randomly picked a few and deleted them and it only screwed up one site log-in. This seems like Russian Roulette. Is there a better way?
Also, at C:\ProgramFiles\Netscape\User\wetrat there is something called 'cookie.txt' and it said something to the effect of "Don't alter this list".
How many places are cookies stored?
Using WIN98SE, w/ both IE and Netscape.

Adware 6 does delete cookies, not all, just bad ones. here

You can pick or choose too...
I use Norton System works, but there are plenty of others out there...

The downside of deleting all your cookies is that you will need to log back in to your favorite sites....

That's really as bad as it can get...

You can go through and save specific ones (Like MajorGeeks, so you don't need to log in again!!) like your bank or your home page, etc. etc...

Or just delete and re-log on...

Another way to get control of your cookies is to configure your IE to only accept cookies from the sites you select.

Go to Tools -> Internet Options... -> Security -> and configure the policy "Trusted Sites" as the "Internet"-policy. Then configure the "Internet"-policy only to accept session-cookies.
Whenever you find a site (Like majorgeeks.com) you want to remember password for then just add it to the list of trusted sites.

Note if one uses Hotmail.com one have to add "services.msn.com" and "*.hotmail.com" to the trusted sites.
