The add-on "CookieSafe" is not compatible with he new version of Firefox. It causes stalling of the windows and creates a small window that cannot be expanded. This window is the main indicator that you have this incompatibility.

Although Firefox 12.0 does not indicate that CookieSafe is incompatible it makes the browser run poorly.

CookieSafe was a great add-on that allowed you to interactively change the cookie status for websites. Unfortunately, every time Firefox updates it loses more and more add-ons to incompatibility.

Just wanted to post the info for those who may be having this issue.

I would probably revert back to version 4 the newer version 12 it has compatibly problems with a lot of addons

I would probably get the the Version you want from here http://filehippo.com/download_firefox/history
    I haven't had a issue with them.

There are a great number of good Firefox plugins out there! Unfortunately many plugin developers lose interest after a while, and no longer update their tools for newer Firefox versions.

I simply uninstall incompatible plugins that are no longer updated.

Try searching for other add-ons with similar functionality: http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

Thanks. Tried that to no avail. Same result -- script errors, error windows, stalling, etc.

I best tip would be too i guess is save all of your web links in a notepad that's what i do the completely uninstall the current version after the uninstall then do a windows search for any files or folders left be hind this makes sure its completely gone off the system.

And then reinstall to a earliest version where it worked on.Best idea i can think of.

I use the 4.0 version be cause i like it's setup better then the 12.0 version.

And another reason mostly all of the Firefox Add-on's will work for 4.0 version

And like i said save all of your web links and stuff on a Notepad so all you have to do is recopy and past them in the address bar.

    The add-ons i use is
    Ad-block plus 2.0.3
    AVG Do Not Track
    Flash Block
