Coolwwwsearch?

I'm not sure if I have COOLWWWSEARCH as my Windows '98 system runs perfectly. However, it shows in the items being scanned by Spybot but is not reflected as a problem. Is it possible this is a false positive since my system runs so well??

The bottom of Spybot's windows just shows each item that it is trying to detect. It does not mean you have the problem. Problems are listed in the window when it finishes scanning.

Thanks very much. I've been working all morning running the suggested scanning tools and none came up with Coolwww... Anyway, the Trend Micro House Call did find a virus, Java Bytever A-1, which I deleted, so all was not lost. By the way, I now have all these scanning tools loaded. It's my understanding that I only want to use one antivirus, one firewall, and one spyware scanner. I should then delete those I won't be using. Is this correct??? Thanks again.

You can use multiple spyware scanners. Some only run when you run them and use little or no system resources otherwise (like Ad-Aware, Spybot, and Spyware Blaster). There is no need to delete them. Keep them available just in case.
