I have been trying all day to copy a CD to a HDD but have not been successful.

I have used Easus and Acronis also XXClone but no joy.

I have tried copy and paste (it took 4 hours) and it copied the system folder but when i ran it there were no data files found.

It is a Language course that is on the CD.

    Any ideas please.

It sounds like the CD is in bad shape. Try imgburn "create Image file from disc" see if it can read it. If it can copy, you can always extract the files from the ISO later.

    Thanks guys, the ISO worked.
I created an ISO image then extracted it to the HDD and it works perfectly, The reason i wanted to do it was that there was always a short lag between lessons but that has now gone.

My Mom gets books on CD from the library. Last week she was complaining that the first disc from a book she really wanted to hear was damaged. It wouldn't play correctly in any player she owned. I was able to copy it as an ISO (it took almost 25 minutes and I thought it would fail but eventually it completed) and burn a fresh CD. It worked fine.

I'm glad it worked for you as well.
