Copy Page W/print Screen

I am supposed to use Print Screen to copy a page, transfer that to a photo editing program, crop as necessary, and send that.
Not sure if there is a photo editing section of Win 7 and if so where.
Jeeze Louise, this sounds like a lot of tap dancing.

 

On the '7 here - push the start button, then All Programs then Accessories and under that subdivision is 'Paint'. When Paint opens, select 'Edit' then 'paste'.

 

Windows 7+ has Snipping Tool built in. See how you get on with that.

 

We use the Snipping Tool often...select the area you want (so no later crop required!) then either save it if required or print it directly without saving it.
Very convenient especially for a quick print of instructions for example without saving them.

 

Snipping Tool also allows to send the image directly to your email client.

 

Snipping tool allows you to crop and then send as email within the one program. It is an easier solution than opening paint, cropping the image, saving it somewhere then attaching the saved image to an email.

I use the snipping tool all the time but there is one situation where you simply have no choice and have to use PrtScrn and Paint, and that is where you need to include an open menu in your screenshot. All screen grabbers, including snipping tool, cause open menus to close when you try to grab a screenshot. Other than that I find snipping tool meets the need perfectly.

 

Which solution did you settle for?

FastStone Capture doesn't.
