I am useing CorelDraw 11. with win 7. Home.

When I had this installed on my win xp system if I was in say PhotoPaint in Corel I could say go to the Drop Down list to say do something with one of the FX Tabs.

And if I did not unerstand a window or FX I was doing I could click on the Help Tab that would be at the bottum of any FX window I was in.

And it would show me a help file for that FX window I was in.

Now when I click on a Help Tab I get an iE window and everything in it is listed to help me but I meen everything and things not for Corel PhotoPaint.

Win 7. is not reading my CorelDraw help files right.

    Why?

AFAIK Corel Draw 11 is not fully compatible with Windows 7. It's generally recommended to run it in XP Mode, though this isn't a possibility with the Home edition that you're running.

If you have a valid XP installation disk, you could install VMWare or VirtualBox and then install XP inside the virtual machine.

Your only other option would be to upgrade the Corel product to a Win 7 compatible version.

Thank you for your help but I do need to understand one more thing?

I am a Computer Graphic Artist since year 2000 and was trained on CorelDraw.

If I want to make a 3D object or Flyer or Magazine Covers I go into CorelDraw.

If I want to do Photo editing or things with Photos of any kind I go into the program inside CorelDraw called CorelDraw PhotoPaint.

They all come in one Program.

Now I never got into PhotoShop because I thought it was just for doing things with Photos.

Am I right that PhotoShop is not for doing Flyers or Magazine Covers or making 3D objects or anything other then doing thijgs with Photos?

Well Photoshop can do things like that. It's a somewhat related field. But that's just not what it was designed for. For example, vector support is very limited compared to Corel Draw. Graphic design is usually vector intense. So for you to use Photoshop for a vector job would be hampering yourself.

Besides, many companies work with cdr files better than pdf or psd files.

Corel just revamped their entire website. That may be why you're seeing something different in the help files, which are online. I believe you can still download the help file on their ftp site, I think this one is what you need ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/CorelDRAW/DRAW11Suite/NAGs/en/
