Correct Forum / Sub-forum?

Greetings, all...

Would this be the proper place to ask for some suggestions / advice / opinions on purchasing a new machine (computer) and machines, plural (phones, etc.), going forward?

 

This particular subforum is for anything and everything. You definitely can ask here, and you will get answers, but understand that everything in this sub forum is opinion and personal experience based, and not necessarily expert backed. They do come in here though, but mostly just us normies.

Hardware is probably the best place to ask about specific things, if you want someone whose job it is to know that to answer.

Here we can share what we have, what works for us, be jealous of your purchase, give you our completely biased by personal opinion brand name spiels, and generally cheer you on.

"Where" might be a good place to look for the "fastest" (highest performing?) computer a thousand dollars (about $1,000 - roughly) will buy?
