correldraw 8/11

my cousin has recently been experiencing problems with his correl draw 8 and 11. While hes working with the program, occasionally the screen that hes working with will go blank and it acts like he looses his information that hes been working on. he saves his work and when he re-opens it, its still blank. the same program from the same CD works onother peoples computer, and it used to on his untill recently. he was using windows2000 and had problems with it then, so he tried it on XP on his computer and still same problems. i suspect it might be a driver of some sorts.. but i cant pin point the problem.. let me know.. thanks
