Greetings. I hope you can help me. I am running an HP Presario with Windows XP. Two days ago, I booted up my system, then tried to check my Yahoo! mail, but the ID photo I had set up was gone. Since then, I have noted other files that are not working. Microsoft Word tells me that it is not installed for this user, I cannot open PCDoctor, and I get various other system and program errors. If you think you can help, please let me know what you need next. Thank you very much.

Okay, I read it. It is a "Malware Removal Guide". Doesn't say a whole lot about corrupt files. Thanks.

Sounds like issues that first need to be looked at in the Malware Forum.

You will need to attach the logs from the Malware Removal Guide in that forum.
