My outlook will not allow me to move or delete any emails. I am running XP, service pack 3 with Outlook 2003. Error messages have included outlook.pst could not be accessed & delayed write failed. I have tried scanpst, kernel , stellar phoenix & copypst, all supposedly outlook.pst repair tools.
Grateful for help please. I attach all malware logs.

Later versions of Outlook have a repair function which you access via Add/Remove in Control Panel. Can't comment on 2003 but it's possibly there.

I think the tool you refer to is scanpst.exe which doesn't work.

I'm not referring to scanpst. Try clicking it in Add/Remove and see if you get a repair option.

OK, I tried to get the Detect & Repair facility within MS Office 2003 in Add/Remove to run but it came back with "fatal error during installation"

Little choice but to reinstall Office if you have the disk.

I did not have 2003 disk since pretty sure I had Outlook 2002 updated by Windows Updates to Outlook 2003 online. I managed to sort out emails with Outlook 2002 program. I now see the problem is in the installation or registry setup for Outlook 2003. Files in Outlook are Office data files not Outlook data files. Guess without disk, registry cannot be fixed? So cannot send/receive, import/export etc.

That doesn't sound right to me. I used Office XP, in which the Outlook version is Outlook 2002, all the way until 2007 when I installed Office 2007. My Office did not get updated to 2003 version at any time in those five years. Are you certain it's Outlook 2003?

yeah, I know. Was unexpected by me as well. But it is definitely 95-2003 Outlook. I did have awful problems with Windows Update and so nothing surprises me. Anyway driven by the notion it was registry issue I did System Restore to a week ago and all is back to normal now. Some malware affecting setup of Outlook? I am up for a Mac after this carry on. Thanks. Anne:)

Haha! Don't for one moment believe you won't have any trouble with a Mac! And rather fewer willing helpers around too. Anyway, good to hear good ol' sys restore has fixed it :)
