I have an epson stylus photo 800 and i've had my troubles with it from the first install... but thats my fault.

when i first got the printer, being me, i didn't reboot when it was done installing like it asked me to, and now i think that the printer driver got corrupted somehow, becuase everytime i reboot, the printer craps out again and i have to reinstall the driver, any suggestions to fixing this? when XP auto detects the usb device, i get an error when it try's to auto install the printer due to a bad .inf file. how can i delete whatever bad *.inf file it is looking for and put on a good one that will actually continue to work

Try going into 'Printers' in the control panel & delete your printer. Unplug it from the computer via usb.

If it has happened recently when you reboot & before installing it again do a system restore then install the printer driver.
