cpu 2core?

hi all I have just rebuilt my computer with a asrock 4core duel vsta board and a Intel core2dou 6300 cpu how do I tell if both cores are working as the bios dos not reconide hyperthreading

and also a quicky is to hit CRTL-ALT-DEL and bring up Task Manager and click Performance tab and you will see two CPU History graphs, which show the two cores working.

But Core2duo's dont have or need Hyperthreading to simulate two cores as they actually have two cores.

thanks for the answer I fired up windows task manager and try running Halfife expersode one the manager showed 100% usage but only one line ?

Its well may do as may softwares cannot take full advantage of dual cores, yet.

Amen, bro' :major Thanks for the tip, though. Process Explorer, that I mainly use, does not help as it only shows a total, not individual cores. Bazza
