My computer has been slow and locks up with the browser running ( AOL 9.0se). The only way to "unlock" it was to CTRL-ALT-DEL. When i did that the CPU usage would jump to 100% and stay there. Several programs would shut down erratically... MS Word, iTunes and others. Just a very erratic, glitchy machine.

So... I did your "READ AND RUN ME FIRST", exactly and according to directions. No malware was found, however, now the computer seems much better... maybe fixed, but after all that work i decided to run HiJackThis and have you take a look at it. Thanks a lot.

I have Windows auto-updates ON, so i assume i have the latest ones. I'll check now to see if i'm up to date tho.

One update was waiting for an install prompt for some odd reason, so now it's done.

Well, I don't see anything in your log that flags me off the bat, but I haven't been in the bush of spyware very heaviliy recently. I ask if you installed the updates because of this bulleting posted by MS.
