CPU benchmark app?

There's so many different benchmark apps out there that it's hard to pick one that is stable, and delivers accurate results. For example, if the bench is run 5 times in row on the same CPU, the scores should be VERY similar (I realize that each score will not be exactly the same). With graphics cards, there are of course "standard benches" like the FutureMark tests (3dM03, 3dM2011, etc) and the excellent Unigine Heaven benchmark, but with CPUs, is there a "standard"? I'm looking for something that is multi-core aware and will run different tests like one for video encoding, math problems, data access, file compression & decompression, etc....

    THX!
