i just recent built a nice gaming computer for about $720, w/ AMD xp 2200+, 512 MB DDR 400 RAM, powercolor radeon 9600 pro. the reviews on the website for the xp 2200+(newegg.com) said that this processor is good for overclocking. its not very fast, so i want to overclock it. i already have 2 case fans, and ive seen those little heatsink/fan combo things for processors. what brand and type would you recommend i get so i could overclock my processor to about 2800+ xp speeds? thanks!

I'm a big fan (no pun intended) of the Coolermaster Aero 7. Does a great job of cooling, and the blower type fan doesn't shriek like the standard high speed fans do.

Aero 7+ is good. You'll probably find you'll have it on full power all the time. Get some decent paste too, Arctic Silver Ceramique is good. I found it easier to apply than AS 5, which was really thick.
