CPU going to 100%

    Greetings,

    Every so often(this is an intermittant problem) my computer becomes veeeeeery sluggish. I control+alt+delete and the CPU is at 100%. I stop any processes that are unneccessary but the problem will persist until I shut down and reboot. Then all is well(for awhile). OS is XP SP2, AMD Athlon 6400,
    512 mb ram.

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Does the Windows Task Manager tell you what process is using 100% of CPU?

    And it's preferable if you can buy another 512MBstick to go in dual chanel.
