My laptop has been running really hot lately, fan kicking into overdrive, and when I check the task manager the CPU is running over 50% all the time. This started a couple of weeks ago, although I can't pinpoint a specific event or time. I did have trouble with a webcam one time a week or so ago which i resolved by doing a system restore (Google had done an update on their voice and video plug in). Since then that has been fine with no further problems, and there are no other symptoms other than the fan running, hot to the touch, and high CPU usage.

When I checked the processes, there was nothing that said it was running, all the processes in the task manager read very low numbers, looked like normal, but the total number was very high, which the individual processes would not have added up to. After running the cleaning programs listed here, my CPU is still running high, but the task manager lists the processes using the CPU most as System Idle Process, SearchFilterHost.exe and PresentationFontCache.exe. I know the first one is normal, but I do not recall the other two having such high numbers before, and I don't remember seeing the SearchFilterHost.exe at all. I had also noticed a process named something like DownloadAD, or ADdownload or something like that, which I haven't seen since running the scans.

Attached are the logs from the scans. I would appreciate any input and help. Thanks !

Hi there. Not seeing any malware at all you'll be pleased to know. You can go ahead and post about any issues you might have in the software forum if you wish. :)

You can do this, to remove some minor junk Hitman found; Re run Hitman and have it delete:

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
