ok once and for all, my processor idles at about 50, and while running big games like wow and hl2 it heats up to near 70. now..

What is the average temp my amd 3500+ should be running on heavy? And does my cpu running at 70 while gaming pose any kind of threat to my hardware?

i dont need any links to other people's problems, i would just like these 2 simple answers plz...ty :)

Here is a link to all 64 bit processors, the 3500 has a max temp of 70C. I would one of two things can be wrong inaccurate temp readiings or cooling problems. If your sysytem does not crash after it reaches those temps it is probably a cooling issue, mor info on how you are cooling your case and processor should help in solving your problem.

    70c is the max temp.
Better look into proper case air flow, make sure cpu is seated properly with good thermal paste.
Make sure all timings/voltages are set corectly in bios.
