I'm about ready to rebuild my desktop. My Powersupply squeels, my old crt died, and I'm still running an athlon 1.333 ghz and pc133 ram. Since it's been 2 years since I last built a PC, processors have really changed.

I'm looking at AMD Barton, and XP-M. What are the advantages of each? I noticed that Barton has 333 FSB, versus 266 on the XP-M. However, I will be wrapping up the package into a micro ATX case, so will the XP-M be a better choice for cooling? Or is the 333 FSB better?

I have a Radeon 9200 8x Agp, 40x Burner, DVD drive, 2 HD's, and 2 case fans going into the next PC. I'd like to use 1 GB of DDR 333 ram.

Any MoBo recomendations? I've built several PC's with Biostar boards and had good luck, but like i said, a lot has changed in 2 years.

I have that chaintech board, with a Barton 2800. It has been a fine combo and has held up well, and dual channel memory is nice. I don't run 1gb of it though, just two 256's. 1gb of memory is nice if you really need it, but if you don't I've read that 256's work considerably better in dual channel mode than 512's.
