    Hi everyone!

I come here to seek your assistance in my quest towards solving this ever so annoying issue with my sound card.

    I just bought a new computer, Acer Aspire 4755G;
    8GB DDR3
    GeForce GT540M 2gb
    i7-2630QM 2ghz

    The issue:
After a while of gaming, or just leaving the computer on for a while, the sounds start cracking, slowly building up more and more. It starts of with a little bit of annoying cracks and increases with time.
As soon as I restart the computer it's all normal again for a while, until it starts off again.

Tried following solutions(after googling a lot on the issue):

    Installed, Reinstalled drivers.
Downloaded different drivers (Some guy who had a link to a driver that solved everyone elses issue, except mine of course...)
    Current Version: 6.0.1.6348

It's not my speakers, I have tried 3 different speakers and they all give the sound.
I have also disconnected everything to my computer, since it's a laptop, and played straight from the computers speakers, where the cracking sound still appears, thus not an external issue.

Only thing I can think of is a driver issue but having tried a lot of different drivers, installing them in safe mode and what not, I can still not seem to get it to work.

So please, honored geeks, help a fellow companion!

Thanks in advance for any assistance given
    /Jonas

how long have you owned this laptop?? could you not contact Acer support for assistance as they may could already be working on a fix for this issue !! if it is a new machine then surely you should not be having issues with audio or any integral part of the pc.

Hi and thanks for the quick replies!

I have contacted Acer who gave me the lovely response of doing a system recovery, which I know is not the issue after reading this thread, now waiting for yet another response that doesn't involve complete reinstallation of windows which seem to be their standard procedure for solving issues :

The issue still persists, but when turning internet off it disappears, just like mentioned in one of the comments in that thread that I just linked.
What I got out of it is that he never managed to solve it, but some people did but everyone had different solutions and neither work for me.
I've also contacted realtek support while waiting for response.

I will try the 32 bit drivers in a few hours when I get back and I shall give you a response on whether they work or not, my system is Windows 7 ultimate btw, which I seem to have forgotten to mention.

But yeah its very strange that it disappears when internet is turned off, so somehow there is a conflict between the internet adapter and the sound card, I don't know how.
