Hello fellow geeks, I am having a nasty problem that hinders my game play with some games and not with others. Every once and awhile I will be playing a game like CoD:MW 2 or WoW Ill get a blue screen that will restart my computer to stop a fatal system error. When I get the games running again the sound will crackle, like if your headphones got blown or something, and freezes every minute or so for a few seconds. It gets worst when I get into fire fights in CoD: MW 2 and in WoW when I am in a high population area. after a few days the problem will go away and i can play my games fine but its unpredictable on when its going to start. this problem could be happening in CoD and WoW but I could play games like L4D2 and Dawn of War 2 without any problem. I have had this problem for almost 6 months and have reformatted multiple times and replaced my hard-drive, because of a corrupted hard-drive, not to fix this problem. It kept happening after that though.

I have linked my DxDiag file so refer to that to see my computers specs

Also to note it happens when I defrag my computer but not as bad when I get the blue screen.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your response.

I recommend looking at the minimum requirements for those games and making sure that your computer goes above and beyond those numbers. Or just put the games on lower settings.

    Hi

If you get a BSOD, write down the full code and post it for us to see, as these can tell where the problem lies.

In intensive games as you have (have noted your specs from DXdiag and they look ok for those games, but maybe drop the detail in the game a bit to see if that helps.

As gaming creates strss on components is the inside of your PC and any fans and vents all clean and free from dust and fluff? if not the excess heat generated can cause BSODs

Are your drivers mainly Graphic and Audio upto date?
Do you have any yellow ! marks in Device manager? if so what as on install the main one some leave out is the chipset/system drivers and this can cause issues.

Drivers for the MS-7320 aka P6N are HERE
