Left here late friday night and fought like the dickens to keep my van on the road due to the wind storm we were having. No sooner got to destination number 1 (my sisters) and it started snowing. Saturday was traveling to destination 2 (hospital where my brother in law has been in critical for past 3 months) in a wind and snow storm which ended up with me sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. After a fair wait, ended up in a garage where I purchased a used transmission so that I didn't end up stuck and in a motel room for a couple of days. Managed to get out of there $1,207.00 in debt, returned to destination number 1 and spent the night. Sunday morning in the snow storm, I returned to destination 2, spent the day popped my sister back off at destination 1, stayed for a bit and drove home in the rain. Now if you have had a worse weekend than that .... please share it. I would like to think I am not the only person the bad luck fairy came to visit this weekend.

Uh. oh! Sorry to hear all that, Glo! :(

I had a crapola weekend, but not THAT bad!

A bit further into the poor-house, then <sigh!>.

I'll have to cheer you up some, when I catch up to you.. ;)

That probably qualifies as the worst weekend around here for this past weekend. I can imagine worse ones though. I'm glad YOU'RE alright.

weather here=suckage. 4 inches of snow on the ground. I had a stuck caliper on the car, that ended up destroying a rotor, not anything like your tranny bill, but changing calipers and rotors in a snowstorm = the suck when you do it in a parking lot.
I can't wait till we move into the house, heated garage.

We had 28 deg C and fine here.:p

I even went out to the beach. I couldn't swim or anything, though. Some kid on a bicycle had just dislocated my knee and dinged up my shoulder running into me at high speed two days earlier. I hitched a ride on some granny's bike back up the sand hills anyway, which in itself was a harrowing experience, LoL!

Had the T.V. (one of them, anyway) die, and spent $800 bucks on a new one, so that didn't make my weekend, either.

But, nope can't say it was as bad as Glo's weekend. Just glad you're okay! :( Those northern Ontario weather conditions are a worry!
