crazy dots

Im a huge gamer and i like to have everything run smoothly but ive been noticein block like dots on some if not most or all of my games some times they form a straight line down my monitar sometimes its a weird pattern it isnt part of the game becuase i move the screen and the blocks stay but flutter or disapper but making new one i dont c them as much if i lookin into a sky

 

What OS? Do you have the latest directx? What about the latest drivers for your video card. Are you overclocking?

 

sounds like something is either overheating or fried, check your temps w/ motherboard monitor or everest or whatever you like to use

 

Pirates right if you tweaked the vid card in winter when it was cool,the tweaks may be too much now its becomming summer,the stuff your describing are known as artifacts you see them when your video card becomes too hot or is overclocked too much.

 

no over clocking, latest drivers and XP and not every game i also have alarms on my mother board to warn of any overheating never gone off

 

I've gotten red dots a few times (pretty much exactly how you described it) in Half Life 2 DM. It was random and I've had no problems in other games, so I didn't pursue it. Which particular game(s) are you having problems with?
