Crazy morning....

So just as I am losing it with the IRS hanging up on me for the countless time mid-convo and slamming my pen into my notepad, breaking the pen, I get a call from my daughter to say my husband is heading out to ER.

One of his not-so-bright coworkers tried adjusting some heavy duty logging cabling while Randy was stood under it, and it came crashing down to the ground. Thankfully he jumped out the way, hence avoiding being literally sliced in two, and his brand new cork boots took most of the impact. He chipped two bones in his foot and is now wearing a really cute "slipper" and downing vicodin.

One of the guys in ER told us to have a great day as we left...said it couldn't get much worse. But he was wrong....could have been a whole lot worse. Thank God it wasn't

Now, back to calling the IRS and giving them what for.......

 

As if the IRS wasn't enough to deal with.

Glad to hear he is okay. In my line of work I have witnessed similar accidents and know how much worse it really could have been.

Lev........I am sure glad to hear your husband wasn't hurt worse. Someone was sure watching over him.

As for the IRS, I am dealing once again with SSI and my daughter. Such a pain.

Glad Randy missed the worst of it. Could indeed have been much much worse.

 

They hand those things out like sweets over there,we dont have vicodin in England we're way behind America when it comes to pain relief,a friend of mine had his humorus snapped clean in half in car wreck,a really painful bone to break, when he was discharged all he got was 30\500 codiene and paracetamol

 

Yup..I was amazed when I got some given to me for a wisdom tooth extraction. I've had 3 extracted in England, and didn't even get codeine!

Actually, today, when Randy said he didn't want codeine, the doc did say it wasn't for Randy. It was for me when Randy becomes a pain in the butt. I can see this doc has dealt with injured loggers before

 

LOL.. Yes, those monkeys can get violent when they are hungry...(I know I'm a dork)

Actually, I work on oil rigs, lots of heavy machinery. If you don't pay attention you can get hurt very easily.

 

Yup...that about sums up logging too. Thankfully he was paying attention, otherwise he wouldn't be here to tell the tale now.
