I've decided that in order to be able to run some application programs that will only run with Win10 I'm going to have to install Win10 on my PC. But (ah...the big but) I don't want to convert from Win7.
My thought is to create a two partition VM, one for my current Win7 and the other for Win10 so I can, as required, run those Win10 only application programs.
Is this even possible? Create a two partition VM without effecting my current Win7 O/S.
If so, can someone point me to a set of instructions for creating a VM partition?
    Thanks

Download this while it's still available.

Install it. Run it. Point it to a iso of Win 10 or anything else you have an iso of.

The default value for disk size, memory, video are usually sufficient, but you'll learn to vary the values. Watch some of MajorGeeks own videos on using it.

    Have fun!

I would try the vm route first, so easy to open the vm without having to reboot. I use vmware player too, marvellous bit of software.
