im not sure what they say but this is how i'd do it:

    Uninstall current sound card drivers
Make sure onboard sound is disabled in the BIOS
    Swap cards
    Install new drivers

If thats how u did it then I'll see if i can help after u reply

    Just gone through them.

Uninstall current sound card drivers - Done
Make sure onboard sound is disabled in the BIOS - Done
    Swap cards - Done

    Still get the blue screen

The first time I turned the pc on it loaded up fully before the blue screen, now its always before windows loads.

    X-Fi Installation Difficulties
Some computers may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms while attempting to install a Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card:

System will boot to 4-bit standard VGA mode only

System will either freeze or not boot

System will say there are multiple unknown PCI Devices and then cause the system to generate a blue screen error.

System may reboot repeatedly depending on XP settings.

Error: "The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor... ( STOP: 0x000000A5 )"

These symptoms can often be corrected by adjusting BIOS settings, or with an updated BIOS from the motherboard manufacturer. One of the BIOS settings that you can try to adjust is the AGP Aperture Size (also known as Graphics Aperture Size). For more information on how to modify or update the BIOS, please contact your motherboard vendor.

If an updated BIOS is not available for your specific motherboard, please contact Customer Support for further assistance. When contacting Customer Support, please have your motherboard model and BIOS version available to give to the Customer Support advisor.
