Sometimes Counterstrike freezes my computer... I would say I could play for an hour and then it will freeze. My comp was working good before, and then i added more ram. So now I have a gig of ram. That is the only thing that has changed... So maybe that's the problem. But I don't see why.

    Running windows XP Pro
    Amd Athlon 1800
    Gigabyte mobo
    512 -3200 ram
    2x 256- 2700 ram
    20 gb hdd (primary)
    40 gb hdd (secondary)

typically, when a pc works for a decent length of time and then suddenly freezes, it's due to a heat related issue.

dont know how old this thread is due to me being new, but I read your specs and your ram speeds are both diferent, I say easiest way to fix is replace your 2x256MB PC2700's with another stick, and match that one with your other 512 mb stick of PC3200. it does make a difference.

you could always ebay off your other ram, the 2 sticks of 256mb pc2700. or sell it some other way. wouldnt make you much but it would be worth it.
