Alright so I've pretty much spent the last 5 hours trying to get rid of this damn thing. I've run smitfraud, combofix, malwarebytes' anti malware, avast scans and more, all in safe mode while following directions some others have put up on the web. Avast! had been telling me trojans were trying to infiltrate and so I was able to stop all of those things, but whenever I restart my computer I get the "Warning your computer has been infected with Spyware...Install antivirus etc. etc." blue screen of death...then bugs start eating at my screen. If I go to "Properties" real fast I can access my background and desktop information, but after the blue screen shows up those tabs disappear. Another side-effect of the virus I take it.

Anyways, I want this thing out of my life! I've attached my HJT log and Combofix log and I'm currently running Spybot.

    Hi FanFicGuru,
    Welcome to Major Geeks!

If you still have the bugs eating your screen, please make a screen shot for us and attach it here. Also, please attach the log for MalwareBytes.

After you've done the above, please go through the instructions in the READ & RUN ME FIRST and attach the other logs we request (except those you've already attached - you don't have to run them again). This will include running CCleaner (very important as malware hangs out in your temp files), SuperAntiSpyware and the MGTools.

After we've had a chance to look at your logs, we'll be able to give yousome instructions that are just for your computer. We need the information in order to do this.

    Thanks.

    Howdy,

Looks like the problem is solved. Not getting anymore of those bugs eating the screen and the desktop tabs are back and such.

I ran CCleaner and a few other things, I'm going through the Trend Micro house call and running malwarebytes and super anti-spyware right now to make sure I got the last of it.

Thanks for the help, I got a lot of answers from previous posts in this forum.

    You're welcome FanFixGuru,

The problem with malware is that it sometimes leaves files on the computer which allow it to get started again. If you would like for us to check your logs, please attach them.

    Thanks.
