Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP (KB953838)

...is not installing for me.

I do not know why. Can anyone help me?

 

You can try and manually install from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...c7-52cb-4052-82a3-2d3c6a953752&displaylang=en
if that does not work. You could also try to delete the earlier patches as this is a "cumalitive" patch and includes all previous bugs and security issues.
Also check out the KB953839.

 

Got timed out, by MG "EDIT" but thought it was pertinent to mention - to only delete previous patches for IE7. I'm on IE6 and don't SEEM to or NEED to have that patch.

 

So this update really is not needed? Whatever the case, I manually downloaded the file and it still did not want to download. It gives me this error:

"Files from the package are incompatible with files on your system"

And thats odd... My OS is XP Professional Service Pack 3.
