    Dear Knowledgeable people.
Am writing this on our lads laptop.
Am in the process of trying to bread board (out of case running)/ build; a refurbished GA-990FXA-ud3 motherboard with a Regor 270 cpu, 8Gb of ballistix ram and a nvidia GT240 for graphics.
Ram is new unused, the cpu and graphics card have been tested in other setups.
    Changing
from hybrid IDE/ SATA P4 cpu BIOS to, all sata /usb UEFI no floppy. Multicore cpu.

My problem/quandary is whether to scrub the ssd and reformat / reinstall or persist to find out what the problem(s) is?

Briefly; After approximately 3 mins of up time the busy after normal loading to desktop activity from cpu loads to 100% with dips (activity drops on both cores at different but regular intervals).
This from booting to waiting, mouse active on desktop task manager up.
    Cpu activity is a
ccompanied by an increase to usually 4Gb in ram (normal load 1.4gb before program start).
This surge in ram is with increase in threads from approx 860 to 920.
What is running i don't know?
This became pronounced as in constant and unavoidable from yesterday afternoon as i restarted build.

Having updated bios to F3 (latest) from Gigas site via another computer for download.

    Have had other problems.
Mainly with installing a Razer optical mouse.
Which was recognized in system but would not show in tool tray despite being selected.
Tried reinstalling unsuccesfully 3 days ago, now nothing just a usb beep when plugged.
No system recognition of this mouse, though in a cleanup before starting " Run this First" after bios update i noticed an obsolete registry key in CCleaner for the Razer mouse.
Have not tried since due to more obvious problem of an overloaded cpu.
Generic driver will not activate when optical mouse plugged in. Running a ps2 roller ball now.

Copped a Candy adware pack while declining an Imgburn install 2days ago, Avg picked this and removed.

Have had high cpu use while updating windows and doing other computer stuff to lock up before SP1 install.

Other difficulties including booting to black screen, no desktop.

Stalled shut down having to reset.Usually boot to safe mode shutdown and restart to normal.

Also networking does not appear to work in safe mode with networking.
Have not tested this yet in Cmd (ipconfig , ping).

Don't know whether these indications are hardware or software source or both, keen to find out.
The motherboard is from an lcs with national distributor 2 year warranty attached so if an rma is indicated will do.

Have followed Read an Run First with upload of logs.

Uninstalling (standard software for me) CCleaner and Malware bytes before reinstalling from seperate downloads /usb and operating as advised.
Have not installed or modified amd machine since starting Major Geeks routine late last night.

Happy to answer questions, will monitor thread from mobile/cell phone, and will; reply, investigate, persist, as required.
Hope we can discover the maintenance or a more experienced advice for this setup.
Thank you for your time patience and advice.

    Best Regards to all

    Tooroo. (bye for now).

Your issues are not malware related. You should post in the software forum if you need further assistance. :)

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others) and running MGclean.bat did not remove them, you can delete these files now.
    3. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    4. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    5. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    7. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
