Hi, things are running o.k. but I have a question. When I was installing my OS a question arose (for me) as to how to install. The question was to install on unpartitioned space or to create a partition. What would be the reason to create a partition? Hacked

Your filesystem lies within the partition. Your OS lies within the filesystem. Even if you choose to install on non-partitioned space, setup will allocate the emtpy space, create a partition, and format it for the default filesystem.

Creating it beforehand lets you choose the size, in the event you do not want to allocate the entire space.
