Cursor folder.

    What is wrong with my Cursor folder in the Windows folder?

    But, when I open Mouse Properties from Control Panel, click on Pointers and then Browse, all the cursors are displaying correctly! Any ideas?

    Hi

    Windows version? (I know its likely Vista,W7 or 8)

    What exactly is your problem with this folder as it looks ok, does have some custom pointers in there, but an addon theme or 3rd party app could have added the non-standard ones, but they seem ok.

    I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. I have installed Cursor Commander to change the colour of the cursor.

    Looking at the snapshot, you'll notice the cursors have been replaced with the icons of the setup files in the Downloads folder! :confused

    Hi

    Thanks on B/day wishes.

    Without installing cursor commander and its not an app I need, I would imagine that its that app that adds these as they are not native to Win7. Possible test you could try is to uninstall Cursor Commander and reboot and see what is in that folder then, but my feeling is that they app will not uninstall all its components fully, so you may still have those icons.

    If your icons are ok, then I would not worry too much.

    I do not believe Cursor Commander is the culprit because it doesn't add the cursors to the Cursor folder. And the plot thickens... Have a look at the screenshots.

    No.1 As displayed in the Cursor folder.
    No.2 The properties window.
    No.3 Opened in XnView.

    No.4 This is what Cursor Commander does.

    I'm not really worried, I just want to know what happened. :confused
