I've been searching the net for some custom buttons.

What exactly im looking for is, a few custom buttons that are on the case of the pc. These buttons can then quick launch applications.

Very simular to the quick launch buttons on a keyboard or on a laptop. Except I want to make or buy a panel that is seperate to the keyboard and mount it on the case.
Does anyone have any idea's on how to make something like that?
Or does anyone know of any devices out there that would do the job?

Also, I'd prefer something that connects to the USB port.

    Cheers.

I would take the buttons straight from a USB keyboard. cut the keyboard and mount only the quicklaunch buttons but let windows think it is a fully functional keyboard. Then plug in a second keyboard to be the keyboard you actually use.

I tried the same thing with two mice before. Had a USB and serial mouse plugged into my comp, and I could use either without changing any settings. Hopefully the same if for keyboards. I would try it out before cutting up anything first though. That's just my idea.
