Thank you for your top freeware programs list.

I'm curious about Cyberfox to run on Win7 64 on an old Phenom AMD.
Does this pick up all the program settings and profiles from Firefox regular?

If not is it a worthwhile upgrade?

(One note: I tried out Blue Moon ages ago butdidn't stick with it. It was probably a setup issue.)

Cyberfox uses its own profile. It's possible to migrate a Firefox profile using Cyberfox Profile Buddy.
As to whether it's worth running on your PC, I'd recommend downloading the portable AMD 64 version available here. That way you can try it out and see whether it's suitable, without the need for installation and profile migration.

Ok, I remember Profile Buddy Hell now that you mention it. Some fraction of a second speedup it not worth what I recall of that.
    Blue Moon, same.

I used Cyberfox 64-bit for several months. It's a very good browser - very well done.
It follows the same development path and schedule as Firefox.

Currently I'm using Pale Moon 32-bit and did get a much better load time, with many open tabs restored, compared to Firefox.

The install looks straight forward and well-laid out.

No mention of the Profile Buddy anywhere.
How does the new CF install bookmarks and bookmarks tool bar?

I'm game for a try if I can isolate the install and not have any crosstalk but get full functionality of what I've been using in Fire Fox.

My OS in Win7 x64 Pro as well. Less sure about Service Pack info.

What's to do besides select AMD install and get current Firefox attributes/bookmarks?

Back here on this older XP workhorse rig, I'll leave things alone for now.

Using Profile Buddy is not part of the standard install process.
That is optional and is done After Cyberfox is installed. You should run Cyberfox at least once so it will create a default profile Before running Profile Buddy.
_nullptr already gave you the link.
Profile Buddy works Only if you have Firefox installed and in the Default location. Although it is labeled as a Beta, it worked fine for me.

Your Firefox bookmarks will be copied along with the rest of the profile.
The bookmarks toolbar config should also be copied.

Since Firefox and Cyberfox are separate programs and use separate Profiles, they will not interfere with each other.

You don't Have to run the 64-bit version. The 32-bit version will work fine if you want to try that out first.
I'm using Pale Moon 32-bit while I get things setup and running smoothly.
For me, at least, there wasn't any real discernible speed difference between Firefox 32-bit and Cyberfox 64-bit.
If you later want to try the 64-bit, you can Uninstall Cyberfox 32-bit but keep the profile. The uninstaller gives you that option.
It's a good idea to make periodic backup copies of the Profile.

All versions, AMD and Intel, 32-bit and 64-bit, are available HERE

Perhaps a different profile is not needed if Cyberfox picks up the bookmarks?

I have gone into the about:config for a few things and so my profile is slightly different.

With no performance difference observable what's the advantage of making the change?

Cyberfox is designed to use it's own profile. Bookmarks and settings don't go "into" the browser, they are stored within the profile.

Those changes will be copied with the profile. That does not change the Location of the profile.

That's up to you. Your experience may be much better. Your best bet for a performance increase is with the AMD 64-bit version. Give it a try.
You won't know until you do. If you don't like it, uninstall.

Ok, I have the answers now that I needed.

After seeing the comments at Cyberfox itself about how it handles or fails to recognize passwords and such from the parent program makes me want to stick with the original.
