CyberLink DVD Suite Deluxe - error

HP Pavilion p6210f tower; Win7 Home Premium x64 - CyberLink's DVD Suite Deluxe came preinstalled on this PC. The owner (Spanish speaking so there was a big communication problem) brought me the PC for numerous issues, including virus removal. Well, everything in the PC runs great now, but one of the original problems was this error with CyberLink. The language gap resulted in me installing different burning software (which works fine), 'cuz I thought he was asking for burning software, but he was trying to describe a problem with his burning software. The guy is a total noob, and learning a different burning program may be too much for him (even something as easy to use as BurnAware), especially since I don't speak Spanish to explain it. He's under the impression that his music is "stuck in Cyberlink" which we all know to be untrue.

ANYWAY - to keep a long story short (or is it too late for that? :-o ), the error that comes up is attached below. CyberLink opens, but when you try to do anything like burn a data CD or audio CD or anything, the error below comes up. I tried this fix over at the HP Forums, and that didn't work..... any ideas? Or should I learn Spanish?

However . . . I checked the path/folder listed above, and each language has its own P2GRC.dll file. So- the file is there, but perhaps it's corrupt or something. I'll go ahead and replace it in the Eng, Enu, and Esp folders, and we'll see what happens.

You have NINE different .dll files in the 'Language' folder??? I have NO .dll files in the 'Language' folder, there's only 27 different folders- one for each language. In each of those folders, there's a total of 7 items (screen shot attached), two of which are .dll files.

 

:cry No change. I renamed the original P2GRC.dll and copied the new version to the folder, and it made no difference. I still get the error. I'm thinking the file needs to be someplace else also . . . since I don't have a PC here with Cyberlink DVD Suite Deluxe installed as it would be at the factory, it's a bit tough to compare files & folders from this erroring system to the file structure on a non-erroring PC.

 

Thanks for all your help . . . turns out that I was running the repair on the wrong program!!! :-o Sometimes I ain't the swiftest fish in the school . . . I used the HP Recovery Manager to repair the Power2Go program (I was trying to repair DVD Suite Deluxe 'cuz that's where the error came from). Once I did that, everything worked out fine.
