My Lenovo Yoga 11e reports that it has a D: drive of 38.5 GB with only 12.9 GB free, but File Explorer shows no files there except a small .tmp file. I understand that it might contain Windows 10 backup/recovery files but I could use the space. I have attached a snapshot of the partitions and the file explorer results. I would appreciate any help to free up more space

    I am using Windows 10

    Thanks and seasons greetings.

Yes, I do. but I will try unchecking "Hide protected operating files". I think that might be it. Thanks for making me look again. I will let you know if it works.

Well, I am getting closer. I can now see the hidden operating folders in the D: drive. One folder is named "Eassos System Restore backup (Don't delete it)" but when I look for its properties, it shows no files (see attachment). I do not remember setting it up, but I may have.

I never heard of Eassos. It sounds too much like EaseUS which is a well known and legitmate company.

I note it looks like it was installed on your system in 2018. If you don't remember it, you don't need it, IMO.

I agree and now need to figure how to get rid of it.

Check your Control Panel under Programs and Features. If listed, remove it that way. If not listed, it is probably safe to remove the folder. But if unsure, just rename the folder for now and if nothing breaks in a few days, delete it.

I renamed the files in D: and will see if anything happens. Thanks for your help.

You may have some hidden files. I would recommend reformatting the partition.
