Well my friendly Local Cable Company. Came by my apartment building to do a disconnect on some one in the building. They disconnected my cable instead, I call them and was told "sorry" that they would "TRY" (WTF Try, they F-ed up) to get some one out tomorrow but diffently in the next 72Hrs.

Its driving me crazy that i don't have TV or internet and i got rid of my old radio since i have the internet, I'm at a coffee shop now.

Now the question, would anyone know how to take of that terminator, with out the tool.

The outside of the terminator just spins and something on the inside needs to be kept in place. So far i have tried to jam a screw driver in there, but that didn't work.

P.S. I'm not trying to steal i just need something............

Around here, when they disconnect someone they simply cut the wire and remove the splitter, there is no terminator. Better to wait until they can get someone back out to reconnect it, because as it stands you're breaking the law by tampering with it already. Depending on who your cable company is, they've been known to refuse service to people who have vandalized or otherwise f-ed with their equipment.

I take it that the cable company you have is the only one in town? That would explain their I don't give a damn attitude because they know you can't go anywhere else. As for trying a 'self hook-up,' well I'm in total agreement with Sarge on that. I wouldn't mess with it. They made the mistake but, who knows, they may give you a free month of cable for the inconveinceroflmaoroflmaoroflmao However, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it;) Hope you get it hooked up soon!!

I know how to work the cables i worked for the company, as a contractor, for 3yrs during college and still do side jobs for extra cash, but i don't have the terminator tool any more.

Hi lock and load, at least it is better than what we got rolleyes the NEW digital TV, and no cable, no satellite here in the country, so when "a" raindrop so much as touches the antenna on TOP of my roof, it washes the signal out... (Oh, can't wait until winter!)Plus, all those wonderful 'stations' we were told we would get? Not. Just two: CBS and PBS.. Wow.. Big choice.... IF it is working... I know, I know, I have a new digital TV, and antenna, so that isn't the problem here.. The LOCAL stations have gone to cable and satellite in 'town' so they can now charge for it...

We can't get cable or satellite, so we just have to take what we can get.. So, now you know why I am online so much!! Yeah, gotta do something I guess....

I sure do hope they can get you fixed up quicker than 72 hours tho... That just sounds too much like, "OK, we goofed.. Just wait until WE decide to fix it." If I were you, I would be on the phone to them every hour all day tomorrow.. There is no excuse for what they did...

    THEY OWE YOU BIGTIME!;)
