Recently, I shutdown a Iomega Network storage unit properly and when I went to put it back online... found that it was not starting up correctly. It would seem like it was going, but after a few minutes, the blue flashing light would turn solid, then quickly drop to solid red.
I tried various things like switching outlets, turning it on without a Cat5 line attached... eventually, I cracked the case and pulled the HDDs out and put them into a external docking unit (by Theralake).... the CPU found the unit BUT it would not register on the system with a drive letter.
Obviously, it is out of warranty and a recovery company wants $1800+ to recover any data (if possible).
I am willing to pay say up to $100 on a program to see if I can access/retrieve the data BUT want the right program...

Anyone out there have good experience with OTC retrievial software?

    Thanks
