Woke up to the beautifull sound of rain this morning. We needed some rain BAD! My grass is brown and crunches when you walk on it. Odd, the rain sounded different this morning. I found out why when I walked through a puddle of water to get my first cup of coffee! Seems my stove vent decided to be a sprinkler, and flood my tin can!

Well, I got lucky, I had left two skillets on the stove, they were full of water, and only a bit was on the stove and floor. Was still a mess! At my local lumber yard, I found a neat product... Emergency 911 Instant Leak Seal. http://www.jnkproducts.com/instantroofrepair.htm

Got lucky and had dry weather after work today, so I sprayed a ton of it on the offending section of the roof. Since the forcast is T-Storms for the next couple of days, I will get to see if it works.

Later folks! Keep your feet dry!:-D

I thought this was going to be about Fred barking. LOL

Hope that stuff works for you.
I am going to keep that product in mind, as my roof looks like it needs to be replaced before too long.

Old Fred sleeps a whole lot more than he barks!:-D

This stuff looks like it will work very well for a fix on a metal roof, or a temporary fix on a shingled one. We shall see..

Well, only a couple of ounces of water this morning. Rained like crazy last night... Had some sunny weather late this afternoon, put another coat on it.

If I don't move soon I think I will buy several cans of this stuff and cover the whole roof with it.

lol.. a couple of years ago in my old apartment, I awoke from a passed out, drunken slumber to the sound of a waterfall in my bed room. Across the room I perceived a hole in the ceiling with what appeared to be about three garden hoses running full blast worth of water pouring through. I stumbled into the kitchen, grasping a beer pitcher (recently lifted from a local bar), set it underneath the deluge of water falling from the ceiling.. I stood there for about ten seconds watching (which was all it took for the pitcher to fill and begin overflowing onto the floor). Then I just shrugged my shoulders, said f**k it, unplugged my computer and my TV and went back to bed.

Luckily the floor was slanted in a way that the water hit it and promptly ran to the corner of the room where it exited through some unseen hole. The next day I surveyed the damage (mostly soaked textbooks). Then I climbed onto the roof, where I found a branch that was about six inches in diameter speared through the roof.

So I know how ya feel.. sort of.

Had a water pipe running to the washing machine break when I was a kid in our house. Nothing quite like coming home from school to a water fall in the front foyer. The drywall had broken and water was just raining in through the ceiling.
