danger:spyware

some spyware or something opens internet explorer very frequently on my pc. the page says DANGER:SPYWARE and asks me to download slimshield. its location is c:/windows/[filename].html where filename is any 3-letter word like asf adf asd or anything like that. it is really annoying as the game i'm playing minimises and somehites terminates. also it has made several entries in the startup tab and even if i uncheck them from msconfig, it makes new entries and the list has become really long. i ran spy sweeper but it did not help. what do i do?

After doing ALL of the above if you still have a problem:
