For some reason, videos are not playing on my laptop on this site. Need help.

 

Do you have Silverlight installed?

 

I have it on my systems as an exe. file but it won't install. I am gettin this Microsoft installer 1601. That error been preventing me fro doing a lot of stuff for sometime. I posted the issue on this site but solutions have not worked.

 

Windows Installer error 1601 is very common. If you google it, you will find hundreds of instructions how to solve it.

If you would like to get a solution here in the forum, please tell us your Windows version and service pack level.

P.S. the site you are trying to access requires Silverlight to view videos.

 

I have service pack 2 installed. I am using Windows Vista home. 64 bit operating system. I am trying to view videos on dartfish tv website. They are wmv files.

You might try either the Microsoft Fix it for Silverlight or the manual uninstall/reinstall routine listed here.

Also, for info: do stand alone .wmv files play correctly?
