Recently, I have been having trouble with my laptop on startup. I am getting several messages from programs that "Have experienced a problem and needs to close" followed by DEP shutting down Explorer repeatedly. I had a few trojans awhile ago, but I thought I was successful in removing them. Any suggestions?

And while I was typing this post, DEP also just shut down the Task Manager as well.

    Welcome Dave,

That sounds like there maybe something attaching itself to the Explorer.exe process. Best to get it checked in the Malware forum.

Read this thoroughly first then follow the steps dictated by your version of Windows. When you've collected the logs required, attach them in a new post/thread in that forum. Also make notes of any error messages, etc.

    Good luck :)
