Daughter's computer infected - can't even load majorgeeks.com?!?

My daughter's computer is infected with brastk.exe (Trojan horse Sheur.CQCM) according to the AVG virus scanner she's running. I've tried using Internet Explorer on her computer to get to majorgeeks.com so I can follow the posted malware removal instructions and to download the malware removal tools to her computer but it won't even let me load the website. It appears that any website that has virus removal tools and help will not load on her computer - am I crazy or is this possible? :confused I've never had that happen before... it will let me go to other websites.

Help! How can I fix her computer when I can't download the malware removal tools?

Notes:

1. If you run into problems trying to run theREAD & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can run steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
