I had backed up everything from my computer (os windows xp) onto a external drive called "Clickfree". I am now using windows vista. I have plugged in the Clickfree into my computer and everything I backed up shows up. However, my emails are in a form listed as "dbx". I have tried to convert them so that I may read them but have had no success. Windows xp used outlook express 6. Vista is now windows mail. I've researched on how to change this and so forth but do not understand. I've contacted the makers of clickfree but still have problem doing this.

Can anyone here help me out? Thank you much. Pabloc:confused

    Hi

Try this, create a folder names email in your Documents folder on Vista, then copy all the emails from your clickfree to that folder, then open up Windows Mail and click File > Import > Messages > Outlook Express 6 > OK and when it asks for Location of messages browse to this newly created folder to import the messages.

*reason for moving them off a portable device or CD/DVD is that they maybe set as read only and generally dont copy well*
