I see a locked board with this name. I do not want access, so don't get defensive -- but may I just ask wtf it IS?

Nothing on WIKI, and google hits fall into 3 categories: things going on in US politics (D.C. "tactics"), some lawsuit that DC Comics is involved in, and a bunch of Dungeons and Dragons wannabes.

Normally I'd assume the last one, but there aren't enough hits to conclude that "DC Tactics" is the actual name of anything. And again, if it WERE, there'd surely be a WIKI!

    :confused

I'm really glad the other 10 hidden forums are not viewable, the conspiracy threat meter would be hitting defcon 5 :)

I think my post in Laura's link explains all, guess its time to actually remove that sub forum from within DC-Teams (Neo, Folding, TSC, Etc.) forum.

I've been meaning to ask about that forum and why it's still there after even Goldie never used. Now it's just part of the background noise when I visit the folding forum.;)

    Hi Augie

Just a forgotten thing to delete, deleted it earlier, so refresh or sign out and in should show it removed now.

OK, but I still don't know what it WAS!

We still talking "distributed computing" here, or some other acronym pertaining to that "Dawn of War" mentioned below?

Or DC power? My "tactic" is to connect the + end of the battery to the + terminal of the item I'm sticking it into, and the - end of the battery to the - terminal. Works every time!

    :p

As the forum area in question is inside the Major Geeks DC-Teams (Neo, Folding, TSC, Etc.) forum area as a sub forum, its a wise guess to say it WAS linked to Distributed Computing.

Threads been about Distributed Computing all along by those who have posted in it apart from your sidetracked thoughts to some weird and wonderful world ;)

But then that forum area is now deleted, job done!

If I may explain as I'm into this folding now big time though some of my thoughts are conjectures. I believe it was a place intended for advanced users to post their methods in obtaining better points production with advanced methods to ensure that these methods worked before posting for the general public as in 'How To Guides etc.'

At least that's what I would have done if I were in his place. We'll never know unless goldfish returns here and comments.

Hey, check it out if you'd like to donate some spare CPU cycles for a great cause, medical research. They now have a 5 petaflop supercomputer equivalent, which Stanford can't afford, with regular folks donating their time for the cause. It's painless unless you really get into it like some of us do.:)

If you wish to participate, then there are several of us that can get you going easily and quickly, just post in the folding forum.

    /end shameless plug.:)
