    Hi,
I use a Trail Cam & recently purchased a short lead so I can remove TF card from Trail Cam & import photos to phone, saves me having to go home then back to the location which is a few miles away.
Anyway the lead imports photos from the DCIM folder where the photo taken are stored.

On my TF card there is no DCIM folder but just images etc.

Any advise please on how I can overcome this.
I connected a different TF card which did have the DCIM folder & all photos imported fine.

Im not with the Trail Cam now but i don’t think me creating a DCIM folder will work as the path for saving them will be different & don’t see any settings other than a few files in the TF card.

Create one. You put the card into a PC, open Windows Explorer, find the card, open it right click and choose create NEW then folder.

Ok Looking in sd card it saves the videos and photos to a folder called VIDEOS.

I renamed it to DCIM & this time when I connect the lead I then see the import option.
I click on import but it then advises me folder is empty.
All the videos are AVI and all the photos are jpg.

So I then created a folder & named it DCIM & transfered all videos / photos but same happened.
So I’m at the stage where the DCIM folder is recognised as I see the import option but from here on is the issue.
I’ve yet to see if when I use the trail cam again it saves to DCIM folder or just creates a new folder called VIDEO.

Just to advise when i used this trail cam again it must check to see if a VIDEO folder is present. If not then its just created another & placed the taken photos inside.

Need to alter the file somehow to create DCIM & not VIDEO folder

Easiest solution, don't use the sd card having the issue.
Look at the brand and specs on that card and purchase another just like it. There are so many different speeds, types, classes and grades to be able to advise you what works and what doesn't.
    Look at card speed class
