De-clogging Vista

Hello, and thank you in advance for your consideration and advice.

I am running a reasonably new Vista (it was purchased for school in August).
In general I have not had many issues with the computer and have been pleased with its speed and ability.

A month or two ago I made the brilliant decision to check out limewire. My computer soon began experiencing spyware issues, and I promptly 86'd limewire.

I have been trying to clean and de-clog my machine for weeks now, but it's still persistently leaving tracks of spyware of some sort on my machine. In this process, I have read MajorGeeks' "READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide" and was not able to completely remedy this situation.

Through this laborious process I have a new problem: I have too many spyware protection software running on my computer and I need to figure out what to eliminate and what to keep.

I have: McAfee Security Center
CyberDefender Internet Security
SuperAnti Spyware
MalwareBytes' Anti-malware
Spybot S&D
and... AVG



My frustration is this: Whenever I run any of my protection software except cyberdefender, the scan result is either nothing(A supposedly clean machine), or very minor things.

CyberDefender, on the other hand, lists three spyware worthy of my attention (that, with the free version, I am unable to remove):

CWS, (search Hi-jacker)
Try Media, (Registry)
Parental Control Tool or ASProtect, (Registry)


None of my other spyware software acknowledges these three threats.
What is the best way to clean out my computer?
